A few of us decided to cruise down to Garage Cafe for a meet up and some good food. Unfortunately it was MX5 night, so there was no room for our cars inside.
Not your usual Camry
With no tripod, i was struggling to get any decent photos of our cars, i did however get a couple of good shots of this Stanceworks Camry. Love it or hate it, it certainly has a presence.
So a few weekends ago we attended the second Calder Park open drift day that was being run by VicDrift.
Needless to say the day ran smoothly with little down time and lots of flow, so much flow i ran out of tyres.
Calder to me is probably the funnest track in Vic to drive, nothing like driving 20 min down the road, thrashing all day, then driving home.
Ryans daily onevia and my rx7 waiting for the next session.
After having my car tuned by Anthony Rodiguez from Maztech the car is now what it should have always been, an absolute animal.
Me and Gerald destroying the ozone.
The work horse.
150kw = 1 set of tyres for the day, making it a hell of a lot cheaper to drive, yet just as fun.
gets a little hard to see when following this bushfire.
With any luck Calder will see the light and continue to run these days. The demand is there and it never hurts to have more than one track to drive at. So the next time a Calder day pops up, make sure you jump on it, even if you arent driving, get down and support the scene.

In a last minute decision we dropped the Rx7 off to Anthony of Maztech of Melbourne so that it could have a retune before the weekend matsuri just to make sure everything was running ok. The next day when the car was finished it had made an extra 30kw(271kw) at the wheels(using the same amount of boost 18psi), it now also has a lot more low down response and torque, what more could you ask for?
Finally the weekend came and we took the car up to Winton for the start of the drift season, Vicdrifts Summer Matsuri(a 2 day drift festival 10am -10pm, 10am -5pm) That morning we also had a photo-shoot for Drift Battle Magazine organised before it hit the track, the photo-shoot was done by Ryan from Infinite Focus . Once the photo-shoot was completed David got out there and spent the weekend destroying tyres.
Below is a couple of pictures of the rx7 in action
Its Been awhile since i last updated the Primal blog. Lots has happened since the start of the year, new rides, track car progress, re working of current cars. I also noticed my 180 getting some love from Stance Nation facebook page today. Since people were asking for more pictures i thought id upload some pics from my photoshoot from last year. Since the photoshoot the cars s13 engine died and needed to be replaced. so i quickly sourced a Jap spec S14 engine. So i purchased a set of Tomei Poncams in 260×11.5mm, and some Power Enterprise 850cc injecters and had it retuned at Maztech of Melbourne, the car made a healthy 252kw@rw on 16psi
Old engine bay setup and the new with the new catch can setup
Heres some other pictures of the car rocking XD9’s at a Charity Cruise i organised at the end of last year. We had over 50 cars turn up and even had Redbull Break Dancers put on a show for us.

For Christmas Davids Fiancé bought him a Canon 60D DSLR and since then hes been taking pics of just about everything. Below is some current pictures of how his RX7 now sits, Its had a recent make over (mostly to allow him to use the ridiculous amounts of lock his car has to offer with his custom knuckles(and extended lower control arms) he made, and slightly due to a mishap on track which left him in need of some minor front end repairs)
The new parts that have been added recently :
Foresight Carbon Weather Shields
Foresight 45mm Front Guards
Foresight 35mm Rear Guards
FC3S Series 5 Turbo Bonnet
