Christmas time..you’d think we’d be slowing down for a break..think again

At this time of year most shops are finishing up and closing down for a much needed holiday. At Primal we dont know the meaning of taking holidays, in fact we just put the final touches on two of the coolest cars of 2013..

First off this red s15 came in looking a bit worse for wear, a well worn example of a JDM import sporting an aero kit.

What we did :-

– Cut and modified rear guards for maximum clearance
– Garage Mak Front 40mm guards
– Gararge Mak Rear 55mm guards
– Rocket Dancer boot wing
– Supermade roof wing
– AME TM02 Tracers 18×10 +18, 18×10.5 +22 sporting 285/35/18
– Cusco engine mounts
– NPC clutch
– Holfords Brake Master
– Braided hose kit for the turbo

Secondly we finished off Matts S14.

– Full revert back to stock car to pass rwc
– Ganador style mirrors
– Navan Front bar
– S14 Luxury side skirts
– JDM Rear Bar
– JDM Rear Lights
– Origin Labs boot wing
– Lowered the car 3″ all round
– 17″ Mesh wheels all round

Looking back at 2013

Its December and alots happened over the past 12 months in and out of the workshop.

Our new club (Primal mc which we founded with a group of mates) has hosted some of the best grass roots drift days victoria has ever seen. Bringing back what drifting has lost touch of over the last 5 years, a non stand off friendly atmosphere.

Our track car is finally working the way it should be lasting 2 drift days with only minor maintenance needed.

Neil competed in this years Honda Nationals in his EG Civic at winton, putting down a PB of 1:48 sec.

Calder Park Open Drift Day

So a few weekends ago we attended the second Calder Park open drift day that was being run by VicDrift.

Needless to say the day ran smoothly with little down time and lots of flow, so much flow i ran out of tyres.

Calder to me is probably the funnest track in Vic to drive, nothing like driving 20 min down the road, thrashing all day, then driving home.

After having my car tuned by Anthony Rodiguez from Maztech the car is now what it should have always been, an absolute animal.Image

150kw = 1 set of tyres for the day, making it a hell of a lot cheaper to drive, yet just as fun.

gets a little hard to see when following this bushfire.

With any luck Calder will see the light and continue to run these days. The demand is there and it never hurts to have more than one track to drive at. So the next time a Calder day pops up, make sure you jump on it, even if you arent driving, get down and support the scene.
